This autumn, the mysteries of ancient Egypt will be on display as the Brooklyn Museum’s celebrated collection arrives at the Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum. The exhibition opens on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, and runs through until the end of November.

Following a successful run in Tokyo that drew over 170,000 visitors, the exhibition features around 150 artifacts, including statues, jewelry, pottery, papyrus, and both human and animal mummies. The event offers a fresh focus on the daily lives of ancient Egyptians, covering what they ate, how they worked, and what they believed about life and death.

Visitors can explore three main sections: everyday life in ancient Egypt, the power and legacy of the pharaohs, and funerary practices and beliefs about the afterlife. Highlights include a rare look at pyramid research using the latest 3D technology, audio recreations of ancient Egyptian spells, and personal items from more than 3,000 years ago.

Exhibition-exclusive merchandise will also be on sale, including a special collaboration with Peanuts featuring Snoopy and friends in Egyptian themes.

Advance tickets and ticket sets with limited-edition goods go on sale starting July 20th. Visitors can also enjoy discounted entry to nearby Shukkeien Garden with their exhibition ticket. For ticket info and updates, please visit the official website.
