Garden in front of Kagetsu-ro's annex

Sansui Garden pond. I visited this garden in late December when gardens are often bare and dried up, but it was lush with verdure!

The brilliant Third Bridge painted in vermilion makes a striking contrast with a moss-covered stone torii gate!

２０１４年１２月２７日　史跡料亭”花月”の最終章は長崎三大庭園の一つに数えられる花月山水庭園。

ここ丸山の地名のごとく丸い丘のような地形を利用して建てられた料亭花月。どの部屋からも８００坪の広さを誇る山水庭園が眺められると云う。この庭園は元禄時代の作庭と云われており、緑豊かな色彩で訪れる客を和やかに迎えてくれる。

史跡料亭として現存するのは、この花月本亭のみであるが、火事やその他の諸事情で消滅してしまった遊郭や別邸があった往時の賑やかさはいかであったろうか？
