Kaoru Ueda Exhibition 2020-2021

Explore the hyper-realism genre through Ueda's works

活動地點: Museum of Modern Art, Saitama 時間: Nov 14th - Jan 11th 2021

Kaoru Ueda is a famous Japanese artist, revered for having a hyper-realistic painting style. A special event taking place at Saitama's Museum of Modern Art looks at around 80 of Ueda's mind-bending masterpieces, which include the likes of Jelly and Spoon (1990), Namatamago (1975), and Salad (2014). Namatamago in particular manages to capture a moment frozen in time, where the egg shell is cracked and the egg's contents are suspended in mid-air. It's easy to feel like you're looking at a photograph as opposed to oil on canvas!

Adult admission to the special exhibition is priced at 1100 yen.
