Ibusuki Nanohana Marathon 2025

Run alongside fields of yellow in Kagoshima

活動地點: Fureai Plaza Nanohana Museum 時間: Mid Jan 2025

Nanohana (rapeseed flowers) are a symbol of spring's impending arrival in Japan, and their vibrant yellow hues add a colorful dose of cheer to a variety of parks and gardens across the country. In Kagoshima's Ibusuki City, you can enjoy these flowers in a unique way – while running a marathon!

The Ibusuki Nanohana Marathon has been held on the second Sunday of January for over 40 years now, and the event allows participants to traverse a scenic course that also includes views of Lake Ikeda (Kyushu's largest lake), Kaimondake, and the area's famous hot sand beach.
