陰陽の庭の桜

２０１４年４月１２日　京都妙心寺の塔頭寺院、退蔵院を参拝した。

この寺院は昔、私が高校生の頃の通学経路で毎日のように境内を歩いていたが、参拝するのは今回が初めて。早速、四季折々の華やいだ池と庭に定評がある退蔵院の山門をくぐることにした。折しも今は花見のシーズン、平安神宮にある紅しだれ桜の孫桜にあたると云う樹齢５０年のしだれ桜、瓢箪・なまずが彫られた門をくぐると直ぐ眼前に現れる。左右の敷石の色の違う枯山水、陰陽の庭に覆い被さらんかと思うぐらい、見事に枝垂れていた。
