The 'Room of Sonogi' on the second floor of Kagetsu-ro, which was named after the lover of the man who introduced Western medicine to Japan, Siebold

The alcove in the 'Room of Dragon' on the second floor. The famous sword cuts a historical figure Ryoma Sakamoto made can be seen on one pillar.

The Room of Dragon is spacious, with 36 tatami mats. The floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors on the east and south sides invite bright sunshine into the room.

This is the portrait painting of Ryoma Sakamoto, one of the most iconic samurai warriors in the era. He is one of the prominent samurai warriors who risked their lives before and after the turbulent Meiji Restoration.

This is the script of a letter of complaint regarding the incident of the 'English Battleship Icarus' written by Ryoma Sakamoto, who submitted the letter to the Nagasaki's magistrate's office.

There is lots to see at Kagetsu-ro, which is both a restaurant and historical site!

２０１４年１２月２７日　九州への旅

向う先は以前より、ずっと行ってみたかった長崎丸山の史跡料亭”花月”。ようやく予約が取れて訪れる事が出来た！この２７日が今回自分達の旅の初日であるが、何とこの日は花月が年内最終の営業日だったようだ！運が良いのかどうなのか、私の旅はいつもギリギリの滑り込みが多い！

食事前に、花月の仲居が各部屋を案内して説明してくれる。優雅な佇まいと広々とした空間に足を踏み入れた！ここには外とは違ったとても贅沢な時間が流れているような気がした！
