Butter is a staple ingredient in kitchens around the world, and it's used in a wide variety of both sweet and savory dishes. The Shibuya Butter Festival shines a light on the versatile product, with over 50 craft butter specialists from farms across Japan showcasing their wares.
Along with the impressive array of different butter types available to sample and purchase, there will be a cafe selling items that pair well with butter, such as fluffy pancakes and scones. Be sure to come with an appetite!
This is a paid event, with admission priced at 500 JPY – that price does include butter sampling, though. The usual festival hours are from 11am until 8pm, but please keep in mind on April 29th it finishes at 5pm due to another event.
