Lilla Dalarna

A meal at Lilla Dalarna feels like a visit to a small Swedish countryside home. It is easy to forget that you are still in the middle of Tokyo surrounded by soft lights, the warmth of wood furniture and colorful traditional Dalecarlian horses, and the aroma of home cooked dishes. It is exactly Husmanskost or home cooked dishes that Lilla Dalarna specializes in, but when done well, a home cooked meal can taste like a five-star feast. All guests are served hearty homemade bread with butter. Lunch orders come with the salad bar and a complimentary cup of coffee or tea at the end of the meal. Because space is limited, the place can fill up quickly and reservations (which cost a bit more) are recommended for guaranteed seating. First opened in 1979, Lilla Dalarna is one of the oldest restaurants in the Roppongi area. It has moved from its original location but has not changed its charming interiors.

Getting there

Lilla Dalarna is a short walk from Roppingi Station (Roppongi Crossing exit).
