Hamamatsu Flower Park

Hamamatsu Flower Park is a botanical garden about 30,000 square meters, and has plants of 3,000 different species.

You can enjoy seasonal flowers and greenery throughout the year. For indoor exhibits, there is a large greenhouse called the "Crystal Palace" in the center of the park. Inside it there is the Garden Theater, where elaborate displays of flowers change from season to season.

When I visited the Flower park, there was the exhibition of orchid and gerbera flowers. Also there are interesting displays like “Mexican Garden” and “Indonesian Garden”. At the large fountain in front of the Crystal Palace, there is a show every 30 minutes. At night, you can watch the show under illumination. I’d recommend visitors to take a loop around the park (it takes about 15 minutes by the locomotive style tour bus "Flower Train"). Then you can walk around the park and see the places you like the most.

From Hamamatsu JR station: Kanzanji Onsen line bus, at bus stop #1 to "Flower Park" (40 minutes ride).
