Hiroshima and Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Materials Exhibit 2021

Commemorating Hanno City's Peace City Declaration

時間: Jul 18th - Sep 5th 2021

To commemorate Hanno City's Peace City Declaration (March 2019), as well as to support the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Hanno City Museum in Saitama will host an exhibition of materials from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum from July 18 (Sunday) to September 5 (Sunday).

Actual materials and replicas of valuable items, as well as pictures and drawings from the museums in Hiroshima and Nagasaki will be exhibited. Commentary and captions will be available both in Japanese and English.

For those in the Kanto Area who may not have the chance to visit Hiroshima or Nagasaki, this is a great opportunity to learn more about what happened 76 years ago. Additionally, materials from Hiroshima and Nagasaki are rarely exhibited together in Japan.

Please note that museum hours are from 9:00 - 17:00. It is closed on Mondays (except on August 9). Admission is free.

如何前往

The museum is about a 16 minute walk from Hanno Station served by the Seibu Ikebukuro and Seibu Chichibu Lines. Ample parking spaces are available at the nearby park.
