Daigaku

I have lost count of the times I have eaten at my father's favorite restaurant, the Daigaku steakhouse and sushiya on Route 331 in Itoman - nearly a hundred times, maybe? We've had reunions there, farewells also, and a few more special occasions like the celebrated first birthday of new family members.

The staff knows our family, and treats us well, especially if my father is in our party. Scooting around the larger tatame table rooms in the back and sliding the paper doors shut allows for an intimate gathering to be had just for the family. Daigaku's menu heavily features Okinawan food, steak, sushi and fried fish. Most single entrees or sets are priced from 700 yen to about 1,650 yen. The restaurant only accepts yen. It is located on the west side of Route 331 near McDonalds in central Itoman.
