Sakura season is one of Japan's most exciting times of the year, and digital art collective Naked Inc. is bringing the ethereal beauty of cherry blossoms to Kyoto's Nijo Castle in projection-mapping form.
Naked Flowers 2022 will include the largest display of digital cherry blossom art ever, with projection mapping on the castle's stone walls covering a length of approximately 140 meters. The castle grounds themselves are home to approximately 400 sakura trees in a number of different varieties, so visitors can enjoy both the artistic depictions of cherry blossoms along with the real thing.
Admission prices to the event differ depending on the day of your visit. From Monday to Thursday, admission is charged at ¥ 1400 for junior high school aged students and above, and ¥ 800 for elementary aged students. From Friday until Sunday, the price increases to ¥ 1800 yen for junior high school aged students and above, and ¥ 1200 for elementary aged students. Preschoolers and below receive free admission.

Nijo Castle is located a short walk from Nijojo-mae Station, which is served by the Tozai Subway Line.
