Deep sea creatures are some of the world's most fascinating animals, and a special event taking place at Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise will explore them in greater detail. The Deep Sea Festival will run from December 26th until February 28th, and the event allows visitors to learn more about 500 deep sea creatures from 50 species – it even includes the ability to touch some of them.

If you want to go one step further with your understanding of deep sea creatures, the event also presents the opportunity to taste some of them – the special menu includes grilled Japanese spider crab, grilled hagfish, and anglerfish soup to name just a few options. Do note that some of these menu choices are only available on weekends and holidays.
