Japan's colder months bring a variety of fun illuminations to the events calendar, and the Uzushio Cruise Christmas light-up in Hyogo's Minamiawaji City has to be one of the most unique. Two ships – the Kanrin Maru and Nippon Maru – will have their masts adorned with festive red and green lights. With mast heights of 30 meters and 23 meters respectively, you can begin to understand how impressive this would look up close!

The mast illuminations will be running throughout the entire month of December from 6 pm until 10 pm. Please note that while admiring the lights from a distance is encouraged, the ships cannot be boarded and access to the pier is not permitted.
