Numerous bon festivals are held during the summer months in Japan, and they represent a time to honor and commemorate ancestral spirits. An easily accessible bon event held at a shopping complex in Hyogo Prefecture showcases the beauty of this traditional festival, where attendees can also enjoy food booths and carnival-style games.
The Tsukashin Summer Bon Festival will run for two days from 7pm until 9.30pm. If you plan to attend, keep an eye on the weather forecast – in the event of rain the festival will be cancelled.
Getting there
The festival takes place at the Gunze Town Center Tsukashin shopping complex located in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture. Free on-site parking is available for up to two hours.
For those visiting via public transport, the venue can be accessed in around 6 minutes on foot from Inadera Station, which is served by the Fukuchiyama Line.
