Japanese Glass Craft Pioneers 2020

A special exhibition at the Koriyama City Museum of Art

活動地點: Koriyama City Museum of Art 時間: Oct 10th - Nov 23rd 2020

In Japan, the demand for glassware items really took off in the Meiji era, but it was commonly seen as something that was utility-based rather than craft-based for quite some time. "Japanese Glass Craft Pioneers" is a special exhibition taking place at the Koriyama City Museum of Art until November 23rd, and it looks at some of the key figures who paved the way for this art form in Japan. Pieces by Iwata Toshichi, Kozo Kagami, and Junshiro Sato will be on display, showcasing glass as an art form in all of its glory.

Adult admission to the event is 800 yen.
