This August, see thousands of dancers converge in over 100 dance squads in Harajuku for some stunning performances. Yosakoi is a Japanese dance style that combines traditionnal and modern elements in the music and dance moves, but also in the colorful costumes. If you have seen other Japanese dance styles such as Awaodori, don't miss Yosakoi, it is a truly unique and highly energetic style.
The event takes place on four stages, at Meiji-jingu main hall, Jingu hall stage, Harajuku stage, which is next to Harajuku station and Yoyogi koen outdoor stage as well as on two streets, Omotesando and NHK mae, which is next to the Yoyogi Park. There are also food stalls at Yoyogi Park.
