Expo '70 Memorial Park

The glory Of Osaka

The venue of the 1970 World Expo in Osaka serves as a memorial site for the one of the greatest events in Japanese history. Only a few small facilities and arts installations are left over from 45 years ago, including the sun tower that stands directly behind the entrance. The majority of the park area is used as a garden and open playground. The middle of the park holds the National Museum of Ethnology and the Japan Folk Crafts Museum. Other attractions include the Expo ’70 pavilion, transformed from the former Steel Pavilion and now serveing as a museum that houses a large collection of original items from the World Expo.
