Soja

Soja City is about 40 minutes from downtown Okayama City. A city that is bordered by Okayama City, Kurashiki City and Takahashi City.

Even though the population of Soja is small with only about 70,000 people it has everything to offer any visitor for a short or long stay.

Bitchu Kokubunji Pagoda is the last pagoda to be built in Japan and even though it is the youngster in five-towered structures it is spectacular. For a few months each year the city lights it up pagoda and draws spectators from all over to see, sit and enjoy the views and atmosphere.

Soja also is the start point or the end point for the Kibi Bike Trail. A chance to ride from Okayama City (Takamatsu Station) to Soja, visiting shrines, temples, burial mounds, rice fields, peach orchards and experiencing beautiful countryside.
